You can specify options for templates, add-ins, and Extensible Markup Language (XML) documents in the Templates and Add-ins dialog box.
Note XML features, except for saving documents as XML with the Word XML schema, are available only in Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 and stand-alone Microsoft Office Word 2003.
The document template box displays the name of the template that is attached to the active document.
Attach Opens the Attach Template dialog box. Use the dialog box to attach a different template to the active document.
Automatically update document styles Updates the styles in the active document to match the styles in the template each time you open the document.
Attach to all new e-mail messages Automatically attaches the template to all new e-mail messages.
Checked items are currently loaded Lists available templates.
Add Click to open the Add Template dialog box. Use this dialog box to load a template. To automatically load a template or add-in when you start Word, place the template or add-in in the Microsoft Word Startup folder.
Remove Removes the selected template or add-in from the list. To unload an item from Word but leave it in the list, clear its check box. Remove is unavailable for items located in the Word Startup folder.
Full path Shows the location of the selected template or add-in.
Organizer Click to open the Organizer dialog box. Use this dialog box to copy individual styles, macros, AutoText entries, or toolbars from one document to another.
Checked schemas are currently attached Lists available XML schemas.
Add Schema Click to open the Add Schema dialog box. Use this dialog box to add new XML schemas to the Checked schemas are currently attached list.
Schema Library Click to open the Schema Library dialog box. Use this dialog box to create a list of available XML schemas and solutions
XML Options Click to open the XML Options dialog box. Use this dialog box to set and change options for saving XML files, applying XSLTs, validating XML documents, and viewing XML content.
URI Displays the Uniform Resource Indicator (URI) of the XML namespace for the schema selected in the Checked schemas are currently attached list.
Path Displays the location of the schema selected in the Checked schemas are currently attached list.
Validate document against attached schema Instructs Microsoft Word to display validation errors if the XML document does not conform to the structure provided by all attached schemas.
Allow saving XML even if not valid Enables you to save an XML document when it doesn't conform to the structure of all attached schemas. Clearing this check box forces you to create a document that conforms to the attached schema.

Name Displays the name of the attached XML expansion pack.
Source URL Displays the location of the XML expansion pack manifest file.
Remove Removes the selected XML expansion pack from the active document.
The box lists the available XML expansion packs.
Attach Attaches the selected XML expansion pack to a document.
Delete Removes the selected XML expansion pack from the list, and makes it unavailable to any other document that it is attached to.
Update Updates the XML expansion pack. By default, XML expansion packs also update automatically at specified intervals.
Add Click to open the Install XML Expansion Pack dialog box. Use this dialog box to add new XML expansion packs to the list.

Higher priority If the same style is defined in multiple cascading style sheets (CSS), only the style from the sheet with highest priority (closest to the top of the Linked style sheets list) will be applied; styles from sheets with lower priority will not be applied.
Add Click to open the Add CSS Link dialog box.
Remove Removes a style sheet from the list of higher-priority linked style sheets.
Move up Increases the importance of the selected style sheet. Move up is available only when the Linked style sheets pane contains at least two items.
Move down Decreases the importance of the selected style sheet. The styles in sheets above this one take precedence. Move down is available only when the Higher priority list contains at least two items.
Lower priority If the same style is defined in multiple style sheets, only the style from the sheet with highest priority will be applied; styles from sheets with lower priority (closer to the bottom of the Linked style sheets list) will not be applied.
Title Type a descriptive title for each of the cascading style sheets in the Linked style sheets list. This option is unavailable if you select Imported.
Linked Links the selected cascading style sheet to your Web page as a separate file.
Imported Imports the style information from the cascading style sheet directly into your Web page.
Full path Displays the location of the style sheet selected in the Linked style sheets list.
